Heaptalk, Jakarta — Tiket.com has established a partnership with Dana to provide an integrated digital payment option. The program, titled ‘Tiket.com Dana-in Liburanmu,’ aims to offer a more practical and efficient transaction experience on a single platform, featuring digital payment options from Dana.
This collaboration also introduces various promotions during the program period, including a 5% discount of up to Rp150,000 and 2% cashback of up to Rp60,000 for domestic flight ticket transactions with a minimum purchase of Rp1.5 million. Additionally, customers can enjoy a 5% discount of up to Rp100,000 and 3% cashback of up to Rp300,000 for domestic accommodation bookings with a minimum spend of Rp1 million.
As part of the program, customers also have the chance to win travel vouchers worth up to Rp10 million, with 20 winners selected. To participate, customers must share their experiences and reasons for choosing Dana on social media platforms. This collaboration comes at an opportune time, coinciding with the upcoming holiday and homecoming season, when people are increasingly planning their travels.
Shift in consumer behavior
George Hendrata, CEO of Tiket.com, noted that millennials tend to book travel tickets 3-4 times a year, while Gen Z may do so monthly. However, there is a significant surge in travel ticket bookings during key holiday periods such as Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, Christmas, and New Year.
Furthermore, George revealed that 99.9% of transactions on the online travel agent (OTA) platform are conducted digitally. He stated that customers feel much more comfortable using integrated digital payment. While credit cards still account for more payments, e-wallets are gaining popularity and value. “As we see Dana as one of the largest e-wallet players, we want our business collaboration to grow even further, making it easier for our customers in Indonesia to purchase tickets on Tiket.com,” Vince said in West Jakarta (03/12).
Vince Iswara, CEO and Co-founder of Dana Indonesia, highlighted a shift in consumer behavior among Dana users, who now number 200 million. Previously, payments dominated essential needs such as phone credit, e-commerce, bills, and electricity and water subscriptions. However, users are increasingly paying for non-essential needs, including travel tickets. “We’ve observed that payments through Dana are expanding beyond basic needs. One example is travel, which is a significant use case in Indonesia. We aim to encourage travel needs in big cities and other regions across Indonesia,” Vince said.
With the rise in domestic tourist mobility, Tiket.com and Dana aim to ensure a more comfortable, cost-effective, and efficient travel experience. With broader access to digital payments, customers can enjoy greater flexibility in planning their trips, whether for last-minute or long-awaited vacations.
