Heaptalk, Jakarta — PT Telkom Indonesia (Telkom) closed its consolidated revenue at USD2.3 billion (around Rp37.4 trillion) in Q1 of this year, increasing about 3.7% YoY. The SOE company claimed that the growth of its data, internet, and IT services business lines contributed to an improvement of about 11.3% in this output.
Telkom also posted a positive EBITDA worth USD1.1 billion or Rp19.4 trillion, growing by 2.2% YoY, with a steady EBITDA margin of 51.9%. The company bags a USD388 million in operating net profit, indicating an improvement of 3.1% with a positive margin of 16.9%.

Even though global geopolitical turmoil has had a major influence on macroeconomics, we remain optimistic about continuing to provide positive output for the company’s sustainability in the future. We will continue to strengthen digital connectivity, platforms and services,” The President Director of Telkom, Ririek Adriansyah, affirmed.
For mobile segment, its subsidiary, Telkomsel, posted positive revenue of USD1.7 billion, approximately Rp28.5 trillion, boosted by the digital business growth worth US$1.2 billion, with an improvement of up to 8.6% YoY. Data traffic also increased by 14.4% YoY, becoming 4.8 million terabytes.
Regarding its market share productivity, Telkomsel notes that its customers reached 159.7 million people, enhancing 5.7% YoY, and its residential IndiHome customers reached 8.9 people by the end of March 2024. In amplifying its position as the most dominant player in internet connectivity, Telkom’s internet provider possesses around 257,349 Base Transceiver Stations (BTS), which consists of 207,671 BTS 4G and 710 BTS 5G.
On the other hand, the company closed its enterprise segment business performance by gaining revenue of up to USD333 million, with B2B Digital IT Services and Enterprise Connectivity as the primary contributors to the growth. In a bid to segment business reinforcement, Telkom Group continues to boost its cloud, digital IT service, and cybersecurity business service, including strategic partnerships with other global technology players.
The wholesale and international segments recorded revenue of USD269 million, contributing around 17.8% to the international wholesale voice services and digital infrastructure businesses. The result also demonstrated that TelkomGroup’s data center and cloud business posted revenues of USD 27.6 million, around IDR 449 billion, an increase of 24.6% YoY.
Telkom’s total capital expenditure reached USD314 million, around 13.6% of total revenue in Q1 of 2024. The company’s capital expenditure budget is allocated to finance several TelkomGroup strategic initiatives, including the 4G and 5G BTS establishment, the Merah Putih 2 Satellite creation, which is currently in orbit 113 East Longitude, a submarine cable communications system deployment, and the Hyperscale Data Center in Cikarang and Batam development.
