Heaptalk, Jakarta — South Tangerang Mayor Benyamin Davnie sees many irregular fiber optic cables and strives to organize the messy wires in his area.
“This step was taken following Mayor’s Regulation No. 47 of 2019 on Arrangement and Control of Telecommunication Tower Construction,” explained Benyamin Davnie in a press release Monday (29/04).
According to the Mayor, this regulation serves as the cornerstone for the optimal arrangement of fiber optic cables, which involves placing them underground. This strategic placement along main roads and collectors, equipped with standing connection rooms, squatting connection rooms and cabinets, will significantly improve our infrastructure.
“Installation must also pay attention to the appearance of the surrounding area and not disturb pedestrians,” he said. This plan will be implemented on five South Tangerang City roads: Ciater Village Street, WR Supratman Street, Serua Raya Street, Merpati Raya Street, and Menjangan Raya Street.
Benyamin further emphasized that the target for the cable arrangement is to be completed in 2024, with work starting from April to May. “Work has started this year and is expected to be completed in the near future, around April or May,” he concluded.
