Heaptalk, Bali – RCEP International Centre (RCEP IC) has cooperated with Indonesia CIO Network (ICION) to facilitate market access and catalyze technology innovation. The collaboration was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by the Managing Director of RCEP IC, Ms Alice Chan, and Ms Makwiyah, Director PT Advanced Technologies Pacific (ATP)
The signing was also witnessed by the Director of RCEP International Centre Mr Goh Seh Harn, who is also a Board Member of the Association Blockchain Asia (ABA), a supporting association of the XCION event & Ray Sugiarto, co-founder of Indonesian CIO Network(ICION). The signing was performed in front of around 70 Indonesian CIOs during the XCION Conference in Bali.
Ms Chan stated, “As we know, RCEP International Centre has great market access and technology innovation, whereas Asia is very strong and Indonesia market, in terms of the event and also its network, so we will try to have the market access, network access, resources, to connect the market.” (03/02)
In response to this collaboration, Mr Goh said, “ICION is strong in the tech space as well as cyber security, and we are looking at the Data Trust in the space of things, especially now with technology and innovation. It is the backbone of every business. So, with every technological improvement, there is always the need for cyber security. So, it goes hand in hand and what important is that RCEP provides Market access. So, what we do is also a partnership.
Align with Mr. Goh statement, the Co-Founder of ICION Ray Sugiarto delivered, “The synergies of the two organizations will demonstrate the alignment of business direction and integration of expertise that will help both organizations and the companies in Indonesia to reach out to the rest of the RCEP countries through the Centre.” The signing for the Indonesian side is represented by ATP as ICION is a brand representing the local community that was founded by Sugiarto.
Sugiarto also added that this collaboration aims to bring in foreign companies and business opportunities from other RCEP countries. In his view, this cooperation is a typical demonstration of 1+1 but resulting in a much bigger than 2.
In the framework cooperation, both parties are poised to explore community and project partnerships on commercial, social, and environmental opportunities through the Transformative Gamification opportunities provided by RCEPIC in relation to the outreach of XCION.
According to Ms Chan, this partnership is a new phase of cross border collaboration across talents, resources, industries and economies. It will integrate a lot of business opportunities across the market, assisting the members in scaling up their potential overseas. This collaboration also enables members to work very closely with whoever is in that current ecosystem.
To embody this goal, RCEP IC has discussed with ICION about providing road trips or vision trips to bring some of the members to meet different market access in China, different parts of Asia, Korea, Japan, New Zealand, and Australia.”
In addition, Ray Sugiarto as the Co-Founder of ICION revealed, “We will perform strategic alignment and planning for network integration and workplan. Recommendation and exchange of expertise and advisors to each other as well as setting up of the satellite office and representation to create connectivity in business opportunities, technology innovation and possible collaboration between the joint network.”
