Heaptalk, Jakarta — Kredivo Group’s Krom Bank Indonesia has officially launched its digital-based banking app, Krom, targeting the Indonesian generation as primary users who want to reach their financial freedom by managing their money through banking services with a high investment value.

“Based on the demography and current trend, Indonesia’s Krom is designed with superior banking services to make it easier for the younger generation to manage their savings. Apart from that, this digital bank platform also proffers competitive interest rates in the industry, is equipped with high customer data security, and prioritizes flexibility.” The President Director of Krom Bank Indonesia, Anton Hermawan, said.

Regarding security, Krom has been licensed, and Krom is licensed and supervised by the OJK and is a member of the deposit insurance agency (LPS). The company used an encryption scheme with the highest and most comprehensive security standards to secure customers’ data. For this reason, every transaction is also equipped with several security layers, including PIN, password, and one-time password (OTP).

Krom also offers an attractive rate, in the form of a savings interest rate of 6% p.a. and deposit interest rates of up to 8.75% p.a, providing much higher than market investment value for customers. Besides, this digital banking eliminates traditional costs, spanning credit admin fees and insurance and credit card bill payment admin fees.

Furthermore, this digital banking app also allows customers to choose their users to select their preferred account number and place deposits starting from Rp100,000 with a daily tenor of 14 – 180 days and progressive interest. Customers can also allocate 20 savings and 20 deposits.

Nevertheless, the savings interest rates offered to customers are not guaranteed by LPS. As is known, LPS sets the rupiah guarantee interest rate in commercial banks at 4.25%, valid from February 1 to May 31, 2024.

Responding to this matter, the Head of Marketing of Krom Bank Indonesia, Felicia Thenardy, admitted, “The company continues to strengthen the information transparency to our customers. If they have questions, we will respond more openly while providing education regarding the risk profile to deepen their comprehension before investing and saving in our platform,”

Instead of voicing its target users specifically, Krom will evolve more competitive financial products to seize millions of customers in the coming years. Besides utilizing the Kredivo ecosystem to present loan products, such as channeling and joint financing, this digital banking also plans to expand its collaboration with other partners.
