Heaptalk, Jakarta — Bitsmedia, the startup developing Muslim lifestyle application (Muslim Pro), has landed US$20 million in a Series A funding round. Asia-focused venture capital firm Gobi Partners led this round, with other participation from existing investors, including CMIA Capital Partners and Bintang Capital.
The company will utilize the latest injection to advance Artificial Intelligence technology, enrich content offerings on Bitsmedia’s streaming platform, Qalbox, develop educational features, and improve the Quran experience within Muslim Pro apps.

Founded in 2009, Bitsmedia aims to enhance inclusivity for Muslims, foster robust global ties through educational content about the Muslim world, and create high-value employment opportunities. Headquartered in Singapore, Bitsmedia is recognized for its flagship product, the Muslim Pro app, which has amassed over 150 million downloads globally.

Bitsmedia’s flagship product, the Muslim Pro app, has been downloaded over 150 million times across 190 markets. In July 2022, they launched Qalbox, a global content streaming service celebrating Muslim identities and cultures. Headquartered in Singapore, they also maintain a local office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
