Heaptalk, Jakarta — Along with the transfer of the capital to North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan Province, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) has prepared multiple programs that are expected to be able to develop startup potential in Indonesia, primarily in Nusantara Capital.
These programs aim to strengthen digitalization, which is a valuable part of the startup ecosystem, including Baparekraf for Startup (Bekup), Baparekraf Digital Entrepreneurship (BDE), Baparekraf Digital Innovation Lab (Bedil), and Baparekraf Developer Day (BDD).
“There are three skill improvements that we carry out, namely upskilling, reskilling, and newskilling with an innovation, adaptation, and collaboration approach.” Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno said in a talk show entitled Building a Startup Ecosystem at Nusantara Capital at Midpoint Place, Central Jakarta (03/22).
According to Sandi, the development of the startup ecosystem is closely related to the creative economy sector and digitalization. Moreover, this sector in Indonesia managed to achieve an added value of Rp1.414 trillion. “As much as 78% of this digital economy helps MSMEs through product sales and increasing income by up to 76%,” Sandi said in a talk show entitled Building a Startup Ecosystem at Nusantara Capital at Midpoint Place, Central Jakarta (03/22).
Attending the occasion, Minister of Communication and Informatics Budi Arie Setiadi said that his party also supports the formation of a startup ecosystem at Nusantara Capital through the Hub.id program. Budi said, “This program facilitates meetings between business actors and strategic partners to increase the scale of their businesses so that they can develop.”
