Meta will focus on bolstering business practitioners through the power of digital technology in 2023.

Heaptalk, Jakarta — Welcoming the new year of 2023, Meta Indonesia dispenses several business plans of the company to deliver beneficial knowledge for business practitioners in Indonesia and adjust with the community requisites by providing fruitful insight and the latest trends among the society.

As conveyed by the Country Director of Meta Indonesia, Peter Lydian, “Throughout 2022, we notice the technological innovation has become a crucial role in contributing to the businesses enhancement, as well as facilitating Indonesia’s communities to leverage their networks in sharing inspiration. Thus, in 2023, Meta will continue to focus on assisting communities under the Meta ecosystem, covering Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram by adopting digital technology to grant an extensive impact positively.”

To embark on the new 2023, Meta company would concern with three primary points: bolstering the business practitioners through the power of digital technology, promoting digital acceleration through strategic programs and collaborations, and fostering the trend and inspiration for creators in using Meta platforms.

In terms of business, Meta perceives the online-based business activity in the coming 2023 would continue to stick with the business massaging service usage, particularly in the WhatsApp service as the most well-known messaging application for society. As indicated by the Kantar study in 2022, the result shows that 7 out of 10 people in Indonesia prefer to use business messaging services to connect with businesses rather than via phone or email.

In response to this report, the Industry Head of Meta Indonesia, Aldo Rambie, admitted the usage growth of the business messaging feature continued to elevate this year. He recognizes that businesses and consumers have positioned this scheme as a significant way to obtain goods or services from personal businesses.

“This factor is also encouraged by the increasing number of Millennials and Gen Z groups who continue to create trends and innovations in the digital realm, including determining how online shopping journeys with the messaging method. Realizing Indonesia as one of the most significant digital technology users worldwide, we notice the great opportunities in the future for this ecosystem,” Aldo added.

To bolster the entrepreneurs’ business growth through digital technology utilization, the company plans to continue to conduct insightful training programs dedicated to business practitioners, including the Meta Boost program that has guided Indonesia’s SMEs to around 14,860 people during 2021 – 2022. On the other hand, Meta has also organized the #Shemeansbusiness agenda to empower women entrepreneurs. As a result, this program has succeeded in guiding around 15,349 women entrepreneurs.

Strengthening the Metaverse ecosystem in the coming 2023

Besides boosting the services for Indonesia’s entrepreneurs, Meta would also focus on its programs for numerous communities that grow in a meta ecosystem. This year, this giant technology company also observed how Facebook and Instagram users adopted an early experience of Metaverse to connect with other societies through an unconventional method, one of which is Augmented Reality (AR) technology.

In this September 2022, Meta established Virtual Academy Learning, a training program devoted to AR Spark creators in Indonesia with diverse experiences. This ecosystem is expected to bolster the creator’s capabilities from the basic to an advanced level, aiming to create an enticing Augmented Reality (AR) experience while retrieving the national economy.

“We believe a Metaverse ecosystem is the future of social technology. Furthermore, this AR Spark community is a place to determine how people build new connections with each other through the power of technology. The Virtual Learning Academy is our effort to contribute to the rising generations in Indonesia with a high interest in learning about AR Spark technology to become talented creators as the backbone for the metaverse evolution,” the Head of Public Policy of Meta Indonesia, Noudhy Valdryno, said.
