Heaptalk, Jakarta — Kredivo Group has officially announced the complete acquisition of GajiGesa, a leading Earned Wage Access (EWA) platform in Indonesia. Following the acquisition, GajiGesa will continue to operate under its brand as a new business unit within Kredivo Group.
The acquisition is expected to be finalized upon receiving all necessary regulatory approvals and meeting standard procedures. This move strengthens Kredivo Group’s position in Indonesia’s fintech sector while providing GajiGesa with the resources to expand its reach and impact.
Abhijay Sethia, Chief Strategy Officer of Kredivo Group, emphasized the strategic fit between the two companies. “GajiGesa’s focus on employee well-being and financial inclusion complements Kredivo Group’s offerings, including Kredivo’s digital credit services and Krom’s digital banking platform. Payroll is a key entry point for building banking relationships, and we believe GajiGesa’s solutions will benefit both employees and employers. We are excited to support Vidit and the GajiGesa team in scaling their business.”
The acquisition comes as Indonesia’s EWA market gains momentum, driven by increasing demand for flexible financial solutions. With a large unbanked population and a growing gig economy, platforms like GajiGesa are addressing critical gaps in the economic ecosystem. By integrating GajiGesa’s EWA solutions with Kredivo Group’s digital credit and banking services, the combined entity is well-positioned to capture a larger share of Indonesia’s fintech market.
As the financial landscape in Indonesia continues to evolve, industry stakeholders will closely monitor GajiGesa’s successful integration into Kredivo Group’s ecosystem. This partnership can potentially drive significant growth and innovation in the fintech sector, benefiting millions of underserved individuals nationwide.
Established in 2020 by Vidit Agrawal and Martyna Malinowska, GajiGesa has become a prominent player in Indonesia’s EWA market. The platform allows employees to access some of their earned wages before payday, helping them avoid high-interest loans and improving financial well-being. For employers, GajiGesa’s seamless integration with payroll systems enhances employee retention and optimizes working capital. To date, the platform has served over 350,000 users.
Vidit Agrawal, Co-founder and CEO of GajiGesa, commented on the acquisition, stating, “We are proud to join Kredivo Group. As the fastest-growing EWA platform in Indonesia, GajiGesa has made significant progress in promoting financial inclusion. With Kredivo’s advanced risk management capabilities and funding capacity, we are confident this partnership will take our business to the next level. This move will create substantial value for our shareholders, employees, and users while accelerating our growth.”
