Heaptalk, Jakarta — The first edition of Indonesia Destination and Travel Halal (Isra Festival) will be held this December 23th – 25th, 2022, at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta. Adopting a Muslim Friendly theme, this exhibition is expected to amplify the halal travel industry and expedite Indonesia as the capital of the Halal industry in 2024.
Attending the Press Conference of the Isra Festival, the Traya International Exhibition, Bambang Setiawan, explained, “The COVID-19 pandemic has transformed the lifestyle of society in Indonesia by prioritizing aspects of a more balanced quality of life, which also influences the tourism destination preference. Thus, Indonesia’s tourism industry practitioners are anticipated to be more creative in bestowing more personalized, customized, and smaller in size halal travel packages aligned with the halal principle.”
Occupied an area of 3,000 m2, Isra Festival will exhibit around 109 booths from the Hajj and Umrah travel agent, halal accommodation, the Muslim tour, transportation, halal food, halal travel accessories, sharia financial products, and supporting industry, including herbs, culinary, beauty, and Muslim fashion products.
The attractive programs will also revitalize the agenda, consisting of the travel community, talk show, consulting sessions about the halal principles in the culinary industry, photography competition, the halal business trip, and trick session.
“The participation of several stakeholders is also expected to become one of the proper options for visitors in obtaining extensive information related a Hajj and Umrah travel,” added Bambang.
During the three days of Isra Festival implementation, around 10 top Muslim Friendly tourist destinations will also be offered domestically and internationally, including Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, Iran, Bahrain, Singapore, and Uzbekistan. On the other hand, the organizers will show the top 10 the Muslim Friendly non-Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) destinations, covering Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Japan, South Africa, Australia, the United States, and the Philippines.
Supported by HIMPUH, the General Secretary of HIMPUH, and Firman Taufik, the Isra Festival is the strategic momentum for the Organizer of Umrah Pilgrimage Travel (PPIU) to demonstrate their business potential. Moreover, the pandemic has delivered a terrible challenge for the PPIU parties.
“It’s time to prove the existence of the Hajj and Umrah travel industry. As further progress, the PPIU expanded the other products by presenting halal tourism, which leads society to travel domestically and internationally,” added Firman.
Organized by the Traya International Exhibition in collaboration with the Association of Umrah and Hajj Organizers (HIMPUH), this event aims to attract 30,000 visitors for three days of the event, with an undisclosed targeted transaction.
