Heaptalk, Jakarta — Rosan Roeslani, Chief Executive Officer of Danantara, announced that the newly established agency will manage the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) complex, along with other assets owned by the State Secretariat (Setneg).
“As instructed by President Prabowo, Danantara will not only oversee state-owned enterprises (SOEs) but also manage GBK and other assets owned by the State Secretariat,” Rosan said.
According to Rosan, assets under the State Secretariat were valued at approximately US$25 billion last year, equivalent to Rp420 trillion. These assets will be added to the portfolio of state assets managed by Danantara, boosting its total assets under management (AUM) alongside the existing US$980 billion (Rp16,400 trillion) from State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs).
With these additions, Danantara’s total AUM is projected to reach US$1 trillion, or about Rp16,800 trillion, aligning with President Prabowo’s target. Previously, President Prabowo Subianto stated that the wealth managed by Danantara could soon exceed US$1 trillion.
“After calculating our assets, it turns out we are very wealthy. Soon, Danantara’s wealth could surpass US$1 trillion,” he remarked.
Prabowo emphasized that if appropriately managed, these funds could yield substantial benefits for the country and its people. He instructed that the assets must be handled with transparency and strict investment discipline.
“This is extraordinary wealth that can drive our national resurgence. We must manage it well,” he concluded.
