Heaptalk, Jakarta — Huawei and the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) conducted a training session for Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) personnel following the needs of digital literacy and the latest cybersecurity technology adoption to secure military cyberspace and the national defense and security data.
Taking place at the Pramanasala Building, Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Unit Command School (SEKKAU), the training is the implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Huawei and BSSN to strengthen the cybersecurity capabilities and insights of digital talents in Indonesia, including military personnel in the Air Force.
“Cybersecurity is the responsibility of all digital ecosystem stakeholders, including the Air Force. The training initiated by Huawei deserves high appreciation as it aims to meet the complex and ever-evolving challenges within cybersecurity,” Chief of BSSN, Hinsa Siburian, said.
The cybersecurity training held by Huawei and BSSN in collaboration with Kodiklat TNI AU was the first grand event involving 500 participants. With the Digital Trust in the Digital Era theme, these parties aim to increase cybersecurity awareness to strengthen public digital trust in the country’s digital ecosystem.
Beyond the economy and digital connectivity, Huawei’s Cyber Security and Privacy Officer (CSPO), Syarbeni, revealed that security and privacy issues must also be considered for business continuity. To achieve this goal, he observed the role of the Digital Trust Framework (DTF) in building digital trust or user confidence in digital security challenges and risks, which are also increasing along with an increasingly digitalized society.
“Cybersecurity is the key foundation for building public trust in digital technology. To strengthen the core, Huawei has taken the initiative to establish multi-helix cooperation in expanding in-depth digital knowledge, which covers several aspects, such as People, Process, and Technology (PPT),” Syarbeni added.
Through this agenda, the Air Force will be more vigilant and capable of dealing with digital security challenges. It will also help the personnel better understand different cyber threats and discover strategic ways to prevent or respond to cyber-attacks.
“Air Force will continue to explore the latest innovative solutions to anticipate cyber-attacks and seek productive cooperations in the future,” Commander of the Doctrine, Education and Training Development Command (Dankodiklatau), Air Marshal Arif Mustofa, affirmed.
