Heaptalk, Jakarta — EdenFarm, Indonesia’s rapidly-growing AgriTech B2B startup, announced the inaugurating Eden Collection Facility (ECF) Caringin (03/05). The launch of ECF was one of the strategic endeavors to create a sustainable food ecosystem.
ECF Caringin is a distribution channel to fulfill Java’s market demand. EdenFarm will have 25 more ECFs to maintain supply and stability and empower local farmers. This commodity center program optimizes the supply chain and guides farmers with a structured cropping scheme to absorb local agricultural production.
In line with the West Java Provincial Government’s mission to encourage agricultural sector regeneration through the Millenial Farmers program, the CEO of EdenFarm, David Setyadi Gunawan and the Head of Food Crops and Horticulture Department in West Java, Ir. Dadan Hidayat, signed a Cooperative Agreement on this occasion.
This startup will also commit to absorbing crop yields of agricultural products from Millenial Farmers in West Java and improving the welfare of farmers through assistance in the cultivation process and accurate market prediction of farming products.
The Vice Governor of West Java, Uu Ruzhanul Ulum, expressed his appreciation for EdenFarm’s agricultural activities and good cooperation with the West Java Provincial Government. This B2B startup also accommodates agricultural produce from Petani Millenial in Bogor, Garut, and Sumedang regions.
David delivered his statement, “One of the biggest challenges in creating a sustainable food ecosystem is the lengthy supply chain from producers to consumers. We designed the Eden Collection Facility as a post-harvest commodity center, where we collect agricultural produce, then sort it and distribute it to Eden Fulfillment Centers in big cities. Through ECF, the EdenFarm team will guide farmers with a structured cropping pattern scheme and regular education, as an endeavor to grow sustainable agriculture,”
This AgriTech startup has been collaborating with Millenial Farmers since April 2021 and absorbing more than 70,000 kg of harvest from Millenial Farmer partners in Garut and Sukaraja. EdenFarm has also distributed 1000 tons of agricultural commodity products per month to various customer segments.
The technology company also issued the Eden Farmers ID with various benefits for farmers, facilitating farmers’ access to cultivation funding, scholarships dedicated to farmer’s children, and Umrah as loyalty programs to appreciate the registered farmers. As a part of real action, David handed over this ID directly to the Millenial Farmers community, including Petani Eptilu (Garut), Tani Makmur Millenial (Sumedang), and Tani Mandiri Sejahtera (Bogor) representatives.
