Heaptalk, Jakarta — PT Nusaraya Agro Sawit (NAS), a subsidiary of PT Palma Serasih Tbk, delivered one unit of dormitory building as a form of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program to the people in Miau Baru Village, Kongbeng District, East Kutai Regency (11/02).

This building handover event was inaugurated by East Kutai’s Vice-Regent, Kasmidi Bulang. Representing the East Kutai Regency Government, he appreciated the leaders and management team of PT Nusaraya Agro Sawit for bolstering the community’s welfare in the Miau Baru village through the dormitory assistance, consisting of 14 rooms.

“This building is greatly representative of children in school and college. Regardless of helping the students, other people can also come to this dormitory for their medical treatment, as well as other critical matters to the Regency, as a halfway house,” conveyed Kasmidi.

Through the new dormitory facility in Miau Baru, this second person of East Kutai Government Regency expects this asset could be well-maintained. Concurrently, he also hopes this building can be a pilot project for other companies to perform its beneficial CSR program devoted to the society around the company’s area.

As it is known, the dormitory canalization with an area of 347.5 sqm is dedicated to the students from the Miau Baru village who takes their education in Sangatta. The dormitory was created from April to November 2022 and was officially handed over from the representative of PT Nusaraya Agro Sawit to the Chairman of the Construction Committee and East Kutai’s DPRD member, Arang Jau.

On a similar location, the Management Representative of PT Nusaraya Agro Sawit, Yohannes Jacob, claimed this CSR program is a part of the company’s tangible action in enhancing the education quality of people, specifically around the corporate territory.

Previously, Arang Jau also revealed this dormitory construction was completed in only six months, executed by an experienced contractor team appointed by the corporate.

“By establishing the dormitory distribution, the community is accessible to use this facility well. This building is also part of the deliberation outcome and the expectation of community leaders and village government. Thus, we are grateful for good communication between the company and society to realize this facility establishment,” added Arang.
