Heaptalk, Jakarta — The newcomer in the automotive sector, PT IIectra Motor Group (IMG) announced to adopt the Augmented Reality (AR) technology of PT WIR Asia Tbk (WIR Group) in its latest product, ALVA ONE. IMG mentioned that the collaboration is performed to seize more extensive market penetration and deliver a better customer experience.

Indonesia currently has the highest penetration of two-wheeled vehicle ownership worldwide at around 42%, according to the number of vehicles owned per 100 populations, and leads the third largest market around two-wheeled vehicles, with 6 million motorcycles sold annually. As a newcomer in the automotive sector, Purbaja affirmed that his team would implement several proper strategies and endeavors to compete internationally in the two-wheeled automotive industry.
Regardless of becoming a new electric motorbike product, ALVA ONE 4 aims for being a Game Changer that shows mobility solutions with ease of application usage. Moreover, the rise of Metaverse technology has generated new standards in diverse sectors, including the automotive industry in Indonesia. Adopting Metaverse technology is believed to enhance sales performance, particularly among the Millenials.
Previously, IMG established its early two-wheeled EV, ALVA ONE, during the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show exhibition. In the event, IMG operated WIR Group technology to present an Immersive Video Mapping Experience of driving this EV product using Augmented Reality technology devoted to the visitors.
With the presence of the automotive sector in the Metaverse, Gupta Sitorus claimed the action enables vehicle producers to display their products more attractive and accomplish multiple innovative ways related to marketing and customer service. Gupta also revealed the WIR Group would formulate the technology-based platform needed while navigating the users to execute the virtual transaction by integrating the Online to Offline (O2O) business strategy in the Metaverse.
