Heaptalk, Jakarta — The East Kutai Regency Tourism Office held the first Forum Group Discussion (FGD) to discuss the Preliminary Report on the Preparation of the Regional Tourism Development Master Plan (RIPPDA).
Attended by the East Kutai’s Regent, Ardiansyah, he stated one of the tourism improvement schemes is establishing Halal Tourism, particularly in this region, as this concept is universal. He also suggested the tourism industry player should be provided additional comprehension on how preparing the facility aligned with the country’s standard, expecting to deliver convenience for visitors.
On this occasion, Regent Ardiansyah also delivers his appreciation for the East Kutai Tourism Agency in collaboration with Samarinda Polytechnic for establishing the RIPPDA document of this region.
“The main point is how people who visit the tourist destinations comfortably have a complete facility, clean environment, and can fulfill their other requisites. The term tourism is simple; namely, people leave temporarily and stay outside. For this reason, the regions with tourism potential are expected to be boosted maximally to bestow a satisfying experience for society in gaining a fresh condition psychologically,” affirmed Ardiansyah.
During the occasion, the Head of the Tourism Agency at East Kutai, Nurullah, stated that tourism development is reflected in Law number 10 of 2009, which explains that national tourism enhancement can be organized according to the master plan for the tourism industry progress, tourism marketing, and tourism institutions. As described in this law, Nurullah also conveyed several master plan types, including National Tourism Development Master Plan, Provincial Tourism Development Master Plan, and Regency Tourism Development Master Plan.
Furthermore, Nurullah, the arrangement of the RIPPDA document would become the primary guideline for planning, managing, and controlling tourism development at the provincial and district levels. This fundamental also possesses the region’s vision, mission, regulation, strategy, and upcoming programs that stakeholders in building the tourism establishment will perform. The guideline is also intended to provide a reference for district governments to develop sustainable tourism planning and to synergize the preparation of Provincial RIPPDA, Regency RIPPDA, and RIPPNAS.
“The accomplishment of the tourism sector development is anticipated to accelerate the regional economy evolution and contribute to the Locally-generated Revenue (PAD). The presence of the tourism sector can also ensure the preservation of nature and culture and the provision of employment for the community. Therefore, with the RIPPDA establishment, the document is expected to raise national tourism quality and quantity in general and boost regional tourism in particular,” Nurullah said.
