Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia’s Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), visited the residence of the elected President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, in Kartanegara, South Jakarta. (10/14)
Following the meeting, the Minister revealed that he had been asked to assist Prabowo in executing a strategic role in the upcoming government.
“I have personally been asked to help carry out a strategic role in the future, and of course, on behalf of myself and the extended family of the Democratic Party, I would like to appreciate his commitment. I am prepared to take on the tasks entrusted to me moving forward. As has been reported in the media, today marks an important phase where Prabowo Subianto has chosen to personally meet and convey his expectations and assignments to several figures to assist him in the government over the next five years,” Agus affirmed.
He expressed gratitude for being invited to help in the next administration and added that he hopes Prabowo’s cabinet can successfully fulfill its vision and mission.
“I am grateful and honored to be a part of the team that Prabowo is forming, which will hopefully become a ‘super team’ capable of carrying out the duties and realizing his vision and mission as president for the 2024-2029 period,” AHY added.
When asked about his role in the upcoming cabinet, Agus declined to reveal any details as the elected President Prabowo would announce the matter directly.
“I do not want to get ahead of myself as elected President Prabowo will declare it immediately. Let him explain the further details. Nevertheless, he envisions a successful future for both physical development and human resources, which are inseparable. If everything succeeds, the country we aspire to build will be realized,” he concluded.
