Heaptalk, Surabaya — Indonesia has made another achievement in a prestigious global event UD Extra Mile Challenge 2024. Participating in this global competition, Taufiqul Ulum, an Indonesian representative from PT Cakraindo Mitra International, successfully won the competition in the Quester category. To celebrate this moment, UD Trucks Indonesia handed over rewards to the winner on November 23rd at the Astra UD Trucks branch in Romokalisari, Surabaya.
“This achievement demonstrated Indonesian skill and dedication. This prestige also reflects our commitment to promote best practices in the logistics industry,” stated Toshihiko Odawara, President Director of UD Trucks Indonesia, in an official release.
For information, Ulum managed to win against multiple drivers from 12 countries. The announcement was also carried out directly at UD Experience Center Ageo, Japan. In this biennial event, Ulum also won the Best Fuel Efficiency category.
UD Trucks Indonesia proudly announced Indonesia’s achievement and gave 10 gr Gold, an Extra Mile Challenge 2024 plaque, and a scale model as rewards.

I, personally, have never driven Quester ESCOT, but during the competition, this unit is very easy to drive and supported by technology that optimizes fuel efficiency. Moreover, the training which were organized by UD Astra Motor Indonesia and Astra UD Trucks is very helpful to assist me in facing challenges in this competition.”
Indah Eviany, Direktur Operasional PT Cakraindo Mitra International also conveyed the same idea with Ulum. She voiced that the training can enhance driver’s skill and assist the company to provide safe and on-time logistic services.
