Vikram conveyed that this achievement is boosted by Indosat’s action to expland their network in rural areas. Carrying out this strategy, Indosat recorded an exponential spike in customers as well as its Average Revenue Per User (ARPU).

Indosat’s customers jump 900 thousand, from 100 million to 100.9 million users. This growth is contributed to the increase in data consumption, which attained 13.4% yoy to 7,965 Petabytes (PB).

The ARPU also grows 10.5% YoY for cellular users to Rp37,900. Vikram explained that the total of capital expenditure (Capex) has reach Rp4.5 trillion while 89.8% was allocated to cellular services to support the growth of its data services.

“Indosat added 22 thousand 4G BTS, therefore, today we have a total of 188 thousand 4G BTS. For the latest network, now we have 103 5G BTS,” added Vikram.

Perceiving the collaboration of Indosat and NVIDIA, Vikram explained that the implementation of AI and machine learning technology is expected to increase its capacity by 95%. This number jumps significantly compared to the previous capacity, which only amounted to 72% to 75%.

“When we conduct it manually, the prediction of accuracy is only 72% to 75%. With AI and machine learning, now it is near to 99%,” voiced Vikram.Regarding the AI innovation, Vikram also mentioned Large Language Model (LLM) which is expected to launch this September.

“LLM will be equipped with Indonesian language feature. The presence of this technology will make Indonesia the leader in AI technology,” concluded Vikram.
