The East Kutai Communication and Informatics Department together with the Indonesia One Data (SDI) team discussed portal integration and data planning, including priority data.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — The East Kutai Communication and Informatics, Encryption and Statistics Department visited the Indonesia One Data (SDI) Secretariat on Karawang Street, Menteng, Central Jakarta (05/25) to discuss the integration of East Kutai One Data into the national portal.
The Head of the East Kutai Communication and Informatics, Encryption and Statistics Department, Ery Mulyadi, said that at the beginning of its creation, around 2020, the East Kutai One Data portal was integrated with the national portal. However, over time, East Kutai One Data was not found in the national portal but was only listed in the East Kalimantan Province portal.
Therefore, Ery brought his team, which consisted of the Head of Informatics Applications, Diar Fauzi Wiranata R.A., and his staff also the Head of Encryption and Statistics, Retno Wahyu, and her staff, to coordinate directly with the SDI Secretariat represented by the Manager of Data Planning, Analysis, and Utilization, Dicky Rahardiantoro, and three members of his team.
Some of the agendas discussed at the meeting were portal integration and data planning which included priority data and a list of data provided by the regions. Dicky said, “We see that with this portal integration, East Kutai has been integrated into the SDI portal. It is just that later there will be certain mechanisms that we will update. It is hoped that the integration process will be better.”
To be completed in early June 2023
According to Dicky, the integration process will not take a long time since his team has prepared the technology required. In more detail, the East Kutai One Data portal was developed with the Comprehensive Knowledge Archive Network (CKAN), while the SDI portal also supports this tool. Forward, both parties will coordinate to agree on mechanism details, such as URLs and other things.
Further, Dicky said that his party provides Catalog Service for the Web (CSW) technology that supports geospatial data integration. In addition, the CSW Secretariat also provides instructions for implementing integration into the SDI portal which is the main reference for all parties. He is optimistic that the integration of East Kutai One Data into the national portal can be completed in early June 2023.
“For East Kalimantan, it seems that East Kutai is a pioneer (in data integration at SDI). However, when viewed as a whole, there are indeed many regions that have carried out integration with various integration models. In principle, we have prepared operational guidelines for integration into the SDI portal and that has become a kind of main reference for carrying out these integration efforts,” voiced Dicky.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Informatics Application Division, Communication and Informatics Department of East Kutai, Diar Fauzi Wiranata R.A., said that his party would immediately follow up on any deficiencies required for the portal integration.
“The follow-up letter from SDI is the main reference for us to work as soon as possible, primarily the technical matters which have been explained earlier to illustrate that these stages will make a process for us to complete them,” concluded Diar.
