Heaptalk, Jakarta — The East Kutai Regency Government launched the Srikandi app version 3 at the Meranti Room, Regent’s Office, a few days ago. Concurrently, the government also held a socialization event for the Gelaktawaku program, which aims to preserve family archives.
In his remarks, Vice Regent Kasmidi Bulang stated that the app is a digital platform that will facilitate public access to diverse government services. With this app, residents can handle administrative matters without having to visit government offices. Additionally, Srikandi version 3 can enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability in public services. According to Kasmidi, this app is part of the local government’s commitment to implementing the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE), which is aligned with Presidential Regulation No. 95 of 2018.
“The Gelaktawaku program, an acronym for the Family Archive Orderly Service Movement in East Kutai, offers services to residents to help preserve family archives through encapsulation and media transfer. This program aims to protect family archives from damage and the loss of important documents, especially in the face of disasters,” Kasmidi explained.
In addition, the Library and Archives Department of East Kutai Regency will provide encapsulation and media transfer services to ensure family archives are protected and digitized. The management of electronic archives is now essential in the era of the fourth industrial revolution, marked by the use of advanced technologies such as big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence.
“This digital transformation impacts not only the economic sector but also the government, especially in improving human resource competencies and public services. The implementation of the Srikandi app is expected to promote clean, effective, efficient, transparent, and accountable government administration,” he added.
Gelaktawaku is aimed at all East Kutai residents, educating them on the importance of archives and how to organize, store, and maintain vital family archives. The public can access this service by bringing their archives to the Library and Archives Department in North Sangatta.
Kasmidi Bulang expressed his appreciation to all parties involved in developing the app and implementing this program. “May our collective efforts bring maximum benefits to the people of East Kutai. Let us work together to ensure the smooth implementation of this program and achieve optimal results,” Kasmidi said in his closing statement.
