According to the City’s Major Arief Wismansyah, Tangerang City has developed 213 apps and a superapp, named Tangerang Live.
Heaptalk, Jakarta – Tangerang City’s Mayor Arief Wismansyah keeps pace with the city’s digitalization by strengthening both the electronic-based government system (SPBE) implementation and smart city concept. For his groundbreaking to transform public services in Tangerang, Arief won a digital urban planning award from detikcom.
“Thank God, alhamdulillah, I appreciate detikcom for this award. I hope the award can motivate us, as Tangerang City Government, to serve Tangerang’s society through various innovations and convenience, and I hope we continue to create innovation,” stated Arief.
Recently, Tangerang has developed 213 apps to optimize the government’s process. In order to improve public services, the local government also created superapp, named Tangerang Live, which has been downloaded by 1.062.235 users. This apps has also been replicated by 38 regencies and cities across Indonesia.
Under Arief’s leadership, Tangerang City also received recognition from the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo) as a pioneer of the smart city concept to support A Movement towards 100 Smart Cities in Indonesia.
Mayor Arief stated, “The development of Tangerang Smart City is fully oriented to meet public services. Therefore, no wonder if the local government has built numerous apps to overcome many challenges to improve our service to society.”
Arief also added, “We have built two superapps, spanning Tangerang Live, which provides multiple public services, including complaint handling and job fair information, and e-government apps as the government internal applications.”
