Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Provincial Government of Southeast Sulawesi officially introduced the Innovation Clinic with the Adinda Application in Kendari (06/11). The Proud to Innovate Movement for 2024 was also launched within the Provincial Government on this occasion.
In his remarks representing Acting Governor Andap Budhi Revianto, Regional Secretary Asrun Lio stated that innovation is a critical factor in regional development. Through innovation, regions can enhance productivity, competitiveness, and community welfare and address various development issues such as poverty, economic inequality, and natural disasters.
“Following Law Number 23 of 2014 on regional government and Government Regulation Number 38 of 2017 on regional innovation, all forms of renewal in the implementation of regional governance aim to improve the performance of regional governance,” Asrun explained.
To achieve these objectives, he continued, regional innovation targets are directed at accelerating the realization of community welfare through improved public services, community empowerment and participation, and enhanced regional competitiveness. He stated, “This is significant to address the current era’s challenges, which require the readiness of civil servants who have innovative and creative ideas, can synergize, and collaborate to achieve regional progress and community welfare.”
Establishing a Regional Research and Innovation Agency
Therefore, the Provincial Government of Southeast Sulawesi plays a role in promoting regional innovation, one of which is establishing the Regional Research and Innovation Agency called Brida in 2023. As a facilitator for implementing innovation in the region, Brida supports regional apparatuses in innovating to address strategic issues and challenges in each regional apparatus.
Aligned with this, the Provincial Government of Southeast Sulawesi is committed to continuously promoting the implementation of Government Regulation Number 38 of 2017 and Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 104 of 2018. “The launching of the Innovation Clinic and the initiation of the Proud to Innovate movement within the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Government today is a form of support in advancing innovation activities within the provincial government through several significant efforts,” Asrun said.
In addition, several significant efforts include developing the Innovation Clinic with the Adinda app and issuing a Governor’s Circular related to the Proud to Innovate movement within the provincial government. “These efforts aim to encourage apparatus to continually innovate and perform their duties and functions innovatively, tailored to the responsibilities of each regional apparatus, and report to the Minister of Home Affairs annually,” Asrun concluded.
