Heaptalk, Jakarta — As a part of the 23rd-anniversary commemoration, East Kutai Government held a development parade attended by 40 participants consisting of regional apparatuses within the East Kutai Regency Government, associations, and schools (10/29).
Participants decorated cars with various creativity to present a picture of their institutions. Dozens of decorative cars started the parade from the front of the East Kutai BPBD Office located on Soekarno Hatta Street, passed along Yos Sudarso Street, then finished at the North Sangatta District Office.
The development parade aims to showcase development progress carried out by the East Kutai Regency Government. Regent Ardiansyah Sulaiman said that the activity was a form of government appreciation for the community as the object of development.
Ardiansyah delivered, “We want to convey to the community regarding the improvements that have been made in the form of a development parade. As they cannot possibly go around East Kutai to see its improvement. Hopefully, the community can understand the development that the government has done and can provide good inputs.”
The Regent expected that the displays presented by the parade participants can be a reference for improvements that have been made by the East Kutai Government up to now. He further said that the government will continue to improve development to make a bigger impact on the community.
Head of East Kutai Tourism Office Nurullah added that the parade included a series of East Kutai’s 23rd-anniversary with the theme of Magic Land which means that East Kutai is a magical area with an abundance of natural wealth potential on the land, sea, and underground.
According to Nurullah, the parade was attended by three groups, spanning the group of regional apparatus and vertical agencies, the general group from associations, and the group of schools or colleges.
