Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy provides full support for Franchise and Licensing Expo Indonesia (FLEI) 2023 as an effort to introduce and promote authentic Indonesian franchise brands to the wider public.
In ‘The Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno’ at the Sapta Pesona Building, Central Jakarta (10/09), Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno said that the activity which will be held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on October 13-15, 2023 carries the message ‘Gain your momentum’. For this reason, he encouraged creative economy players and investors to take advantage of this event as a means of exploring new business opportunities through franchise businesses.
“A lot of big companies started from franchises and licenses such as McDonald’s, KFC, and Disney. This is an opportunity to build a business,” said Sandiaga.
In addition, Sandiaga is optimistic that this event will be a suitable momentum to socialize Government Regulation No. 24 of 2022 on Implementing Regulations for Law No. 24 of 2019, known as GR 24/2022, primarily regarding Facilitation for the Development of a Marketing System for Creative Economy Products based on Intellectual Property.
Meanwhile, Director of Creative Industry Intellectual Property Development at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Robinson Sinaga, added that his party is participating in FLEI 2023 by presenting 6 intellectual properties (IPs). “This event is an exhibition of business opportunities. Therefore, we present 6 local IPs,” said Robinson.
Project Manager of FLEI Rulief Harjianto hopes that this event can boost knowledge and awareness of creative economy players regarding franchise and licensing businesses. “We want to advance franchise businesses and utilize local IP to advance business players,” concluded Rulief. (Haris Sunandar)
