Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Provincial Government of the Riau Islands (Kepri) received an award from the Ombudsman titled Compliance with Public Service Standards 2022 at Bidakara Hotel, South Jakarta (12/22).
The award is given to Riau Islands for maintaining public service standards. The province is included in the green zone predicates, ranked 9th with a score of 85.97.
The Regional Secretary of the Riau Islands Province Adi Prihantara expressed his gratitude for the award given by the Ombudsman. “In terms of service, actually the overall service in the Riau Islands is adequate, but the administrative standards have not been applied fully. In the future, we will focus on improving this,” said Adi.
Further, the Province will ask all regency governments to take follow-up action scaling up standards in compliance and services. Adi voiced, “Next, we will develop it for all district governments since there is still a regency that is not yet entered the green zone.” The only regency in the Riau Islands that has not yet obtained green zone status is Natuna. Adi hoped that in the future all governments in the Riau Archipelago can enter the green zone with the best value.
Meanwhile, on another occasion, the Governor of the Riau Islands Ansar Ahmad said that the Ombudsman’s award is a gift for all levels of the Provincial Government and the community for the synergetic role played by all parties.
“The Riau Islands Provincial Government has received a good title or green zone and is included in the top 10 public service awards for 2022 at the provincial level which is ranked 9th,” said Ansar in his statement.
The achievement should be a source of pride for all levels of the Provincial Government, regional apparatus organization, and the community. He delivered, “We have achieved this achievement regarding Compliance with Public Service Standards twice in one year of running public services. Thus, we need the role of all parties to move forward and improve the quality of service.”
Ansar asked all the staff of the provincial government, regional apparatus organization, and community to strive for breakthroughs in enhancing services in the future.
