Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR), through the Directorate General of Housing, strives to promote the utilization of domestic products in the livable housing program for the community. This initiative aims to enable the community to have decent and quality housing.

“One effort to improve the quality of housing for the community is by encouraging the Increase in the Use of Domestic Products (P3DN),” said Edward Abdurrahman, Director of Housing System and Strategy Implementation (SSPP) at the Directorate General of Housing, Ministry of PUPR, during the Technical Guidance on P3DN in the Directorate General of Housing for the Sumatra and Kalimantan regions in Tangerang Regency, Banten, on Thursday (05/30).

Edward explained the implementation of Government Goods/Services Procurement and the P3DN roadmap at the Ministry in 2024, targeting a maximum of 5% of the Budget Expenditure Ceiling for imported products. This aligns with President Joko Widodo’s mandate outlined in Presidential Instruction No. 2 of 2022 on Accelerating the Increase in the Use of Domestic Products and Products of Micro, Small, and Cooperative Enterprises to succeed the National Proudly Made in Indonesia Movement.

Furthermore, the Directorate General of Housing also encourages the Housing Provision Implementation Centers (BP2P) and Housing Provision Work Units in each province in Indonesia to collect and monitor the use of domestic products in their respective work areas.

The technical guidance on P3DN aims to socialize and provide advice on calculating the domestic component level (TKDN) to the Centers and Work Units within the Directorate General of Housing, as well as to share knowledge about the importance of the domestic component level or domestic products to support all activities within the Directorate General of Housing for the 2024 Fiscal Year. Other goals are to monitor and evaluate as well as update data from each package and activity in each work unit and to provide training for each i-eMonitoring officer to support the implementation of activities in the 2024 Fiscal Year at the Directorate General of Housing.

On this occasion, Edward also instructed representatives from the P2P Centers and Housing Provision Work Units attending the Technical Guidance to pay attention to several important matters, including the implementation of P3DN Policy in the Ministry of PUPR, the calculation of TKDN/PDN values for 2024, and the input into the i-eMonitoring application within the Directorate General of Housing.

“All P2P Centers and Work Units within the Directorate General of Housing attend this P3DN Technical Guidance. We hope they can input the monitoring data for domestic products and import them correctly, completely, and routinely in the regions. Additionally, they should input the reporting data of Domestic Product Construction Equipment Material (MPK), which includes the planned and realized TKDN data correctly, completely, and routinely in i-eMonitoring,” he concluded.
