Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia’s President, Joko ‘Jokowi‘ Widodo, led a limited meeting with several ministers to discuss the Government Work Plan (RKP), Financial Notes, and the Draft State Budget (RAPBN) for 2025.
In the meeting, Jokowi highlighted the importance of accommodating the elected President’s programs in the 2025 RAPBN. However, he also emphasized caution regarding the risk of a global economic slowdown, particularly related to interest rate policies and geopolitical tensions that could potentially trigger a food crisis and rising oil prices.
“I expect the state budget allocation for 2025 can accommodate all the programs of the elected President. Most importantly, we have to be aware of the risk of a global economic slowdown, whether related to interest rate policies or geopolitical tensions that could lead to a food crisis and rising oil prices,” Jokowi said.
Furthermore, President Jokowi underscored the importance of optimizing measures to increase state revenue targets. He emphasized the ease of investment and the facilitation of export-related products as key to achieving these targets.
“Optimize steps to increase state revenue targets. I want to emphasize the ease of investment and the facilitation of export-related products here,” added President Jokowi.
The President also stressed that the 2025 RAPBN should focus on primary priorities instead of covering numerous programs. With the completion of this limited meeting, the RKP, Financial Notes, and next year’s RAPBN can be well-prepared and effectively implemented to achieve national development goals.
