A public service mall will allow all types of public services to be concentrated in one place, including MSME entrepreneurs, Regional National Crafts Council.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — The East Kutai Regency Government has included a public service mall in its development plan for 2023-2024. This matter is conveyed by the Regional Secretary of East Kutai Regency, Rizali Hadi, in the office area of the Regency Government.
The public service mall will allow all types of public services to be concentrated in one place. Apart from that, MSME entrepreneurs can also sell their products at this place.
Rizali said that his party had visited other cities and regencies with advanced public services, including Sidoarjo City, Surabaya City, and Bandung Regency, to see integrated services implemented in their respective public service malls.
“It really functions as a place for public services, in which there are all kinds of services carried out by government officials. For example, it has licensing services, population and civil registration (Dukcapil), all types of services are there,” said Rizali.
In more detail, Rizali stated that there were three places offered for the construction of a public service mall in East Kutai. The choice fell on APT Pranoto Street, the former Islamic High School (STAIS). Currently, the status is in development planning.
Later, the public service mall will also accommodate MSMEs, Regional National Crafts Council (Dekranasda), and other parties. Rizali added, “We hope that all existing MSMEs can be concentrated in public service malls. After we learned from advanced cities and regencies, the importance is to bringing services closer to the community. This effort is carried out for service efficiency. Local government will also easily control services through regional apparatuses. We hope that in 2024 it will be implemented.”
Before the public service mall is completed, the East Kutai Regency Government will utilize the Sangatta Expo Building in providing one-place public services. However, the location needs improvement since there will be partitions for officers’ rooms to be stationed there.
“Including other facilities, such as the network must be steady. As that is the key to service, later the network must be full, primarily for millennials who tend to use services electronically,” concluded Rizali.
