East Kutai One Data Portal was developed with addition of sectoral data and integration of data management using comprehensive knowledge archive network (CKAN) tools.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — East Kutai now has a dashboard on the Portal Satu Data, which literally translates as One Data Portal, containing data across agencies, local government, and all other agencies that produce data related to East Kutai. This portal can be accessed by leaders, including the regent, vice regent, and regional secretary, as well as the public who need data related to East Kutai.
Previously, this portal was first compiled in 2018 under the name Regional Statistical Information System (SISD) which contained basic data on regional development. A year later, SISD was developed into the East Kutai One Data Portal with the addition of sectoral data and integration of data management using comprehensive knowledge archive network (CKAN) tools.
“Leaders only need to click on the dashboard that we have prepared. For instance, if you need data on the number of public health centers (Puskesmas) and their distribution locations, all you have to do is click the search button as the data has been recorded on the One Data Portal,” said the Head of the East Kutai Communication and Informatics, Statistics and Encryption Department, Ery Mulyadi.
According to Ery, the preparation of the portal faced several obstacles, but his party tried to overcome them well. He said, “One of our efforts is to routinely coordinate with the Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) as a East Kutai One Data team. Last year we also made efforts to visit multiple regional apparatuses regarding the development of sectoral data.”
Recently, the Department of Communication and Information conducted a briefing activity for the portal operators. This activity involved 41 operator officers from 37 regional apparatuses, 1 vertical agency, and 1 sub-district office.
The operator is tasked with collecting sectoral data in each regional apparatus. Further, the data will be verified by related officials in stages. The verified data will later become official data which is published in the portal.
“The expected result of this activity is that operator officers can understand the duties and responsibilities of work that must be fulfilled. In addition, they can understand the technical implementation of the work. Operators are also expected to have a strong commitment to completing the work to the end according to the expected output, “concluded Ery.
