MSME bazaar is part of the people’s economic improvement program. The duration was extended from five days to ten days seeing the enthusiastic visitors.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — The seventh point MSME promotion bazaar in Makmur Jaya Village, Kongbeng District, was officially closed after being held for ten days on May 19-28, 2023. Visitors packed the venue which was centered in the village office area to enjoy entertainment from Anima Band vocalist, Lucky Lukman Santosa.
In his remarks, East Kutai Regent Ardiansyah Sulaiman is optimistic that this program will have a positive impact on improving the people’s economy. As part of the program, currently, the Government of East Kutai Regency is intensively holding MSME bazaar activities.
“The MSME promotion bazaar is being held to develop community-based businesses in East Kutai,” said Ardiansyah (05/28). The aim of organizing this bazaar is to assist SMEs in East Kutai Regency through the Cooperatives and SMEs Department in collaboration with Genpro Indonesia.
According to Ardiansyah, transactions that occur in this activity can help to maintain inflation stability. He asked the district head and stakeholders in Kongbeng to make the bazaar or expo a routine agenda to improve the people’s economy.
“I am sure that in Kongbeng District there are many actors in the people’s economy, both culinary products and other products,” said Ardiansyah.
Further, he emphasized that the MSME bazaar was financed by the East Kutai Regency Government. Thus, the organizing committee must report the use of these funds properly. “Although there are contributions from other parties, the reporting must still be separated. Do not double up as it could be a problem,” Ardiansyah ordered.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the committee, Ulek Juk, reported that the MSME bazaar activity was a collaboration between the Cooperative Service through Genpro Indonesia and the Kongbeng District Government.
“Initially the bazaar was scheduled for only five days. However, seeing the enthusiasm of the people, the district head added another five days to ten days,” said Ulek. He thanked the Government of East Kutai Regency, Genpro Indonesia, donors, and all those who helped carry out this activity.
