MSME bazaar held in the field of Makmur Jaya Village, Kongbeng District is an effort by East Kutai Government to improve human resources.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Government of East Kutai through the Department of Cooperatives and SMEs presented an MSME promotion bazaar at the 7th point, namely in the field of Makmur Jaya Village, Kongbeng District (05/19). This activity is a collaboration of the East Kutai Cooperatives and SMEs Department and Global Entrepreneurs Professional (Genpro).
According to the Head of the East Kutai Cooperatives and SMEs Department, Darsafani, his party continues to carry out multiple activities to advance human resources in an effort to improve the economy in East Kutai. He said, “The Cooperatives Department has conducted several training sessions. The training activities totaled 34 sessions of training, including 20 sessions for cooperatives and 14 MSME sessions.”
These pieces of training aim to see and curate East Kutai MSME products. Some of the steps that have been carried out by the Department in advancing human resources included providing direct cash assistance (BLT) in 2022 to MSMEs in 18 districts and organizing MSME promotion bazaars in those districts.
“The roadshow that we are doing is to see the potential of MSMEs in the districts which will be curated later and will see their whereabouts and what MSME actors can make. In the future, we will bring in investors,” said Darsafani. Thus far, the bazaar activities have resulted in 35 selected MSMEs that will be included in the expo in Yogyakarta, Jakarta, and Bali.
Further, Darsafani said that his party would meet investors in Jakarta in July 2023 who would be invited to East Kutai to see first-hand the activities of MSMEs. Besides, the Department of Cooperatives and SMEs will hold a focus group discussion (FGD) to discuss the results of the MSME bazaar activities from January to September.
Meanwhile, East Kutai Regent Ardiansyah Sulaiman revealed that this bazaar activity was a good opportunity for MSMEs to show their products to the Office of Cooperatives and Genpro.
“Genpro wants to learn more about the products created by MSMEs, and whether they can be improved. Then are they possible to enter several markets, such as local, regional, to global markets, “concluded Ardiansyah.
