The priority program for 2024 of the East Kutai Communication and Informatics Dept (Diskominfo) has been elaborated in Regional Apparatus Forum within the Department.

Heaptalk, Jakarta — East Kutai Department of Communication and Informatics Service, Statistics and Encoding (Diskominfo Staper) has elaborated its priority programs for 2024 including smart city implementation, implementation of an electronic-based government system (SPBE), and a focus on development in areas that are still classified as blank spots.

The Head of the East Kutai Diskominfo Staper, Ery Mulyadi, conveyed this matter at the Regional Apparatus Forum within the Department. Ery said that his other priority program is the provision of sub-district internet for population administration services and the implementation of regional head elections or legislative elections.

Apart from that, building command centers and anticipating floods through the Internet of Things (IoT) based flood monitoring system also becomes the Department’s priority program for the coming year.

“Hopefully in this Regional Devices Forum, all Diskominfo priority programs can be accommodated for implementation in the next 2024, both those already listed in the strategic plans and inputs during the sub-district level development planning meetings (Musrenbang),” said Ery.

Further, Ery delivered that all programs being implemented are aligned with the output indicators of the regional medium-term development plan (RPJMD). However, his party still needs budgetary support to complete them.

Aligned with the mandate of the Minister of Home Affairs

Meanwhile, the Head of the Infrastructure and Regional Sector, Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) East Kutai, Sugiono said that the aims and objectives of conducting the Regional Apparatus Forum are in accordance with the mandate of the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation No. 86 of 2017 paragraph 4 of article 136 on Implementation of the Regional/Cross-Regional Apparatus Forum.

Sugiono voiced, “This forum is indeed carried out by the regional apparatus themselves, aiming to agree on existing activities, such as the results of the development plan meeting some time ago and the main points of view of the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) members.”

In addition, Sugiono hopes that the results of this meeting are not solely a formality but can actually be implemented, including priority proposals for Diskominfo, such as implementing a smart city, implementing an electronic-based government system, and other programs.

“Surely we have to support the smart city and SPBE programs together, including the provision of bandwidth. I also appreciate Diskominfo for conducting live streaming during the development plan meeting some time ago for public information disclosure,” concluded Sugiono.
