Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia’s Regency Governments Association (Apkasi) will hold the Apkasi Procurement Network (APN) 2024 on May 21-22 at the Jakarta Convention Center Senayan.
Apkasi Executive Director Sarman Simanjorang invites private parties, particularly goods/service providers, to take part in APN 2024. “The APN 2024 exhibition is one of the roles carried out by Apkasi in encouraging and increasing the use of domestic products (PDN) through the procurement of goods and services (PBJ) for the government. Thus, imports are the last option if there are no similar domestic products,” Sarman stated in a written statement (03/19).
He further explained that in the last three years, Apkasi has been actively involved in driving the use of domestic products in the procurement of government goods/services in 416 regency governments. This year, Apkasi is holding APN again with the support of the Ministry of Industry and the Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP).
“From year to year, the implementation of APN has received attention and enthusiasm from regional governments, especially our members, since regency governments as budget users who are obliged to buy domestic products, they want to meet directly with producers who provide goods and services,” said Sarman.
Shopping through e-Catalog system developed by LKPP
In the government procurement mechanism for goods and services, budget users can shop through the e-Catalog system developed by LKPP. Sarman added, “Even though transactions can be done online, sometimes budget users still want to communicate directly with the producers to be more confident in spending their budget. Through the APN exhibition, Apkasi is trying to accommodate this need.”
Apart from that, the exhibition will be filled with various discussion forums featuring credible and competent sources to broaden participants’ insight into the procurement of government goods and services. Consultation sessions will be held for producers who wish to have their products registered in the LKPP e-Catalog system as well as calculating the level of domestic components (TKDN) and how to obtain the certification. Also, there will be business matching between budget users to conduct one-on-one meetings with providers of goods and services.
Apkasi invites all providers of goods and services who have registered in e-Catalog and are official government partners, both in provincial, regency/city governments and in ministries/institutions to participate and take part in the APN 2024 event. “Moreover, we will hold APN 2024 ahead of mid-year, where regional governments are actively spending on their needs. Through APN 2024, we hope that budget absorption in local governments can be swiftly realized after they get to know more closely the producers of goods and services,” concluded Sarman.
