Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Acting Governor of Banten Al Muktabar accompanied Vice President Ma’ruf Amin in opening GIIAS 2024. “The Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2024 at ICE BSD Tangerang, from July 18-28, can increase the public’s purchasing power for motor vehicles, thus meeting regional revenue targets,” said Al Muktabar in a written statement on Tuesday (07/23).
Al Muktabar mentioned that the regional revenue comes from the Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) and the Motor Vehicle Title Transfer Fee (BBNKB). He stated, “Motor vehicles are a significant source of regional revenue, primarily from PKB and BBNKB. This exhibition is expected to boost revenue components, especially in Banten Province, with the sale of new vehicles, most of which are expected to operate in Banten Province.”
Furthermore, he is optimistic that the 2024 GIIAS can support and drive economic growth in the province and nationally. This automotive exhibition activity also invigorates the economy around the exhibition venue, particularly SMEs and hotel accommodations in the Banten area. “We appreciate the international-scale event initiated by Gaikindo related to the automotive industry exhibition held in Banten Province,” said Al Muktabar.
On that occasion, he also mentioned the presence of the Geoportal One Map Policy 2.0 and the White Paper OMO Beyond 2024, relevant to developing National Strategic Projects in the region. “Banten Province is part of the National Strategic Projects development area and the newly established Tanjung Lesung Special Economic Zone and Edutek Medika Internasional. The One Map Policy has strong relevance to the Banten Provincial Government,” said Al Muktabar.
The One Map Policy can stimulate various development agendas in the province, leading to economic equity and the people’s welfare. “Launching this One Map Policy is a strategic step for the Banten Provincial Government. It stimulates multiple development agendas,” Al Muktabar concluded.
