Heaptalk, Jakarta — Global Expo Management (GEM) Indonesia presents Solartech Indonesia 2025, a leading ASEAN trade exhibition for photovoltaic solar energy and energy storage. The event is held from April 23 to 25 at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, North Jakarta.
The exhibition features over 1,000 global companies, including Atelier Solar Indonesia, JA Solar, AE Solar, Jinko Solar, Ginlong Solis, Utomodeck, and Solar Mart Energi. It is projected to attract more than 35,000 visitors over three days and offer opportunities to connect with leading industry experts, build key business relationships, and gain the latest insights in the field.
Elizabeth Ratu Rante Allo, Head of the Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) for DKI Jakarta Province, praised GEM Indonesia for organizing this international-scale event. The exhibition brings together industry players, government representatives, and associations and serves as a strategic platform to drive innovation and investment in Southeast Asia’s rapidly growing solar energy sector.
“Today, business owners are here to sell and invest—to open factories in Indonesia, particularly Jakarta. I invite everyone: whatever we can produce or manufacture in Indonesia, let’s do it. We are ready to welcome investors to Indonesia, especially Jakarta,” Elizabeth said (04/23).

Launching new products in lighting
Solartech Indonesia 2025 is held alongside sub-events, including Battery & Energy Storage Indonesia, Smart Energy Indonesia, Inalight, Cable & Wire Indonesia, Smart Home+City Indonesia, Smart IoT Indonesia, and Inatronics.
Baki Lee, Director of GEM Indonesia, remains optimistic that business activities can thrive in Indonesia despite global economic dynamics. “Indonesia is a leading country in Southeast Asia for renewable energy—not just in the region, but across the Asia-Pacific. We have one of the highest renewable energy potentials in the Asia-Pacific. We believe the renewable energy business will be a promising prospect for Indonesia in the future,” Baki Lee stated in his opening remarks (04/23).
John Manopo, Chairman of the Indonesian Electrical Lighting Association (Aperlindo), noted that this event is a pivotal moment for the development of the construction materials, electrical, and electronics industries. During the exhibition, Inalight exhibitors launched new products in lighting, electrical engineering, automation, smart homes, IoT, and security technology.

Promoting digital transformation
“This exhibition is an invitation to both domestic and international communities to invest and stay updated on the latest technological advancements in building materials and electrical sectors while exploring business opportunities in Indonesia. This event is highly beneficial for advancing the electrical energy sector in the country, including supporting industries,” John said (04/23).
Soegiharto Santoso, Chairman of the National ICT Entrepreneurs Association (Aptiknas), explained that this series of exhibitions is highly relevant to the association’s members, given their diverse profiles—covering retail, principals, IoT dealers, distributors, software houses, developers, IoT, AI, Metaverse, cybersecurity, blockchain, robotics, gaming, ICT consultants, and cloud computing.
“Aptiknas continues to promote digital transformation, especially as we implement the Smart Nation program, which has two foundations—Digital Talent and Digital Leadership—and six pillars: Digital City (Smart City), Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, and Hardware. All these technologies can be found at this expo,” Soegiharto concluded.
