Heaptalk, Jakarta – Rockstar Academy successfully organized its Annual Recital at Usmar Ismail Theatre, Jakarta (11/16). Unlike its last year event, this agenda became special as it presented Broadway Recital separately, involving about 500 children and teenagers.
Ridwan Fauzi, better known as Coach Ipit, the Art Director of Broadway Recital, stated, “This time is the Broadway Recital, which was organized separately for the very first time. The preparation and technical set-up were very different because, at this time, the performance was a 100% combination of acting, singing, and dancing. Meanwhile, the previous year, the agenda only focused on dancing.”
Adopting the theme ‘Dream Girls,’ the Recital Broadway presented the story of a group vocal consisting of five girls who dream to be stars through their music. They give their best to reach their dream, and finally, the dream comes true; they truly achieve their dreams.
“Through this story, I would like to show the young generation that they can succeed if they want to give their best effort. If they work hard, the dreams can come true,” Coach Ipit continued, “The story also contains multiple moral values, such as vision, friendship, and neighborhood, which become the main support system.”
Although this occassion is the first real recital broadway, the implementation of this agenda was excellent. According to Coach Ipit, multiple challenges have been encountered, but the children’s hard work and the parents’ support made the organizing of this agenda run smoothly.
The recital lasts approx 2.5 hours utilized dozens of extraordinary costumes, musical arrangements, and magnificent lighting to revive the breath of a very dynamic, fantastic, and amazing opera. Coach Ipit hopes that the broadway recital will continue to stimulate the enthusiasm of Indonesian children to gain multiple achievements.
