Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia’s PERIKLINDO Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS) is poised to return from April 29 to May 4, 2025, at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. This automotive exhibition is set to mark a significant milestone for the EV industry in the Archipelago.
According to PERIKLINDO’s Chairman, Moeldoko, collaboration is critical in expediting the adoption of EVs in Indonesia. As one of the leading EV associations in the country, the association, in partnership with Dyandra Promosindo, is proud to organize the PEVS expo this year.
The exhibition aims to serve as a premier platform to boost the growth of the EV industry in Indonesia. This effort is further supported by the government’s strong commitment, reflected in various fiscal and non-fiscal policies. For instance, the government has introduced a 10% Value-Added Tax (VAT) subsidy, allowing consumers to pay only 2% VAT on purchasing electric vehicles. Beyond fiscal incentives, the government is also actively developing supporting infrastructure, including expanding the Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) network across strategic regions.
“In terms of challenges, I see more opportunities than obstacles. The market potential in Indonesia is vast, and the government provides access and facilities that highly support investment. I urge PERIKLINDO members to move faster, as the EV industry is growing rapidly. I am confident that the 4th PEVS will be even more successful,” Moeldoko added.
During the same event, Daswar Marpaung, President Director of Dyandra Promosindo, highlighted the positive trends in Indonesia’s EV sector. To maintain this momentum, PEVS 2025 will serve as a benchmark for the industry’s progress while emphasizing environmental sustainability.
This year, PEVS, in collaboration with Asiabike Jakarta (ABJ), aims to achieve transactions worth US$24.2 million, or around Rp400 billion, with 40,000 visitors. Given the increasing public interest in electric vehicles, Daswar expressed optimism about reaching this target.
“With the positive developments in the domestic EV sector, Dyandra Promosindo believes that Indonesia’s electric vehicle era is moving in a promising direction. Through PEVS 2025, we hope to set a benchmark for the industry’s growth and accelerate EV adoption to achieve Net Zero Emission,” said Daswar.
Meanwhile, Rudi MF, PEVS’s Project Manager, explained that this year’s event will feature renowned two-wheel and four-wheel electric vehicle brands. Additionally, the public will have access to a variety of business matching programs, including B2B, B2G, and B2C, as well as attractive promotions.
Key programs confirmed for the event include the Opening Ceremony, EV Test Drive, EV Test Ride, Pushbike, Electric Board and Scooter Ride, EV Riding, Buyers EVening Gathering, EV Parade and Catwalk, Miss PEVS, EV Track Zone, EV Morning Run, and the Closing Ceremony.
This year, PEVS is again partnering with Asiabike Jakarta (ABJ) to support the transition to electric vehicles by uniting global, regional, and local industry networks. This collaboration, organized by PERIKLINDO, Dyandra Promosindo, Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, Jiangsu Bicycle Co Ltd, Jiangsu International Trade Promotion Center, and the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, will showcase a wide range of electric vehicles and bicycles from leading brands.
