Heaptalk, Jakarta — Muslim LifeFair Yogyakarta 2022 has officially opened at Jogjakarta Expo Center (JEC), Yogyakarta (6/3). The exhibition aims to encourage regional economic growth and boost the halal products of Indonesia’s MSMEs.

Head of Economic Bureau and Regional Secretary and also serves as the Head of Department of Industry and Trade of Yogyakarta Province, Yuni Pancawati, inaugurates the opening of this Muslim fair. Yuni appreciates the massive enthusiasm of 185 participants who exhibit their halal products at the event. Also, Yuni believes that organizing this exhibition in Yogyakarta can motivate other event organizers to support the regional economy.

Several companies from multiple industries support the exhibition, namely Bank Muamalat, BPKH, Wardah, Kahf, Tokopedia, Wigro Indonesia, and AGB Ciganea. Likewise, various necessities of halal products also enliven the Muslim LifeFair event, including modest fashion, Islamic education, Islamic book & publishers, halal travel, and Thibbun Nabawi herbs, beauty products, and Safe & Healthy Halal Culinary (KHAS).

“We appreciate the participants entailed from numerous business sectors. We are pleased that MSMEs still perform their existence during this COVID-19 pandemic. Through this exhibition, we look forward that Indonesia’s MSME can bounce back to boost the economy in Yogyakarta and its surroundings by exhibiting their wonderful products,” Yuni in her statement during the opening ceremony.

Furthermore, Muslim LifeFair Yogyakarta presents several job vacancies dedicated to job seekers among visitors. Visitors can apply for various positions, including graphic designers, finance staff, general affairs procurement, account officers, restaurant operations, teachers, advertising specialists, business development, and content creators.

The Director of PT Lima Event Indonesia (Lima Events), Deddy Andu, revealed his expectation of this event, “The exhibition is expected to stimulate economic enhancement around this region and promote MSME players to generate the halal products to compete in the global market. We are confident that Indonesia’s MSMEs can thrive and employ more personnel for their sustainable enterprises,”

Behind the lively exhibition of MSME products, Muslim LifeFair 2022 also promotes Islamic boarding schools and universities. Several educational organizations include the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII), the Imam Syafi’I Islamic Boarding School in Brebes, and the Ibn Abbas Assalafy Islamic Boarding School.

Chairman of the Indonesian Muslim Entrepreneurs Community (KPMI), Intan Fery Atmaja, voiced that his parties were incredibly prepared to support the Muslim Life Fair 2022 in Yogyakarta. Fery also hopes that the event is the right momentum to encourage the halal products of MSMEs after the pandemic hit over two years.

MSMEs are the driving force of the Yogyakarta economy, contributing 98,4% of the whole industry in the province and absorbing up to 79% of the workforce. The MSMEs entailed in this event will continue to be guided in digitalizing their business to promote their products. This intention has already been implemented through the Muslimlifeshop application.

“We are grateful that the booths are full. Considering Yogyakarta as a tourism city, culinary and fashion become outstanding products in this exhibition. However, other product categories also catch the visitor’s attention, including Islamic education, community, MSMEs of the Jogokariyan Mosque, and general Yogyakarta MSMEs,” added Fery (6/3).

With a sequence of exciting events, the Muslim LifeFair Yogyakarta is a recommended event for Muslims and halal product enthusiasts. Visitors can visit the exhibition to explore their favorite halal products with the entry ticket price (HTM) of only Rp.10,000 per person.

The ticket transaction is accessible through www.muslimlifeshop.com, and the @muslimlifeshop application is available on Google PlayStore and AppStore. Visitors can also purchase the tickets directly at the event location.

The exhibition was initiated by Lima Events in collaboration with the Indonesian Muslim Entrepreneurs Community (KPMI). The show will be held for three days, starting from June 3rd – 5th, 2022, at Jogjakarta Expo Center (JEC). (SFM)
