Heaptalk, Jakarta – Mangrove Jakarta Community, a non-profit community that focuses on mangrove conservation, has collaborated with Aston Pluit and Sharing Breakfast Community to deliver their contribution to society and earth. The contribution was distributed in the form of channeling breakfast pax and planting mangroves.
The event adopted “Caring and Sharing” as the theme was started by the opening ceremony and, later, followed by other activities, including an introduction meeting and sharing session concerning the benefit of planting mangroves. The information about the importance of conserving mangroves was conveyed directly by the Founder of Mangrove Jakarta Community, Paundra Hanutama.
“I am glad to continue performing this great social activity that is expected to educate society and young generation towards the importance of mangroves. To increase awareness about the benefit of mangroves’ ecosystem and also its function to protect the land from abrasion caused by mangroves’ deforestation,” said Paundra Hanutama.
During the occasion, a total of 20 mangroves seeds prepared by Mangrove Jakarta Community has been planted. In addition, Aston Pluit and Sharing Breakfast Community have distributed 50 bottles of juice and 100 breakfast pax, respectively. The food and beverages prepared were channeled to people around the ecotourism area.
As lofty people around tourism areas were profoundly severe after the hit of the covid-19 pandemic, the donation is expected to assist them in keeping survive during the crisis. Moreover, the mangroves’ planting session and social action conducted are hoped to inspire people to deliver good deeds and increase awareness towards environmental sustainability.
“This kind of activity is great to be conducted continuously with full of commitment for the sake of conserving mangroves’ ecosystem and marine biota,” said Paundra.
Paundra also stated his great appreciation to the entire parties for their participation. For Paundra, the event would not be successful without the contribution of Aston Pluit and Sharing Breakfast Community.
“This event, of course, will not run successfully without the contribution of the volunteers’ team. Moreover, I’d like to deliver my gratitude to the team of Aston Pluit and Residence as well as Sharing Breakfast Community for their exceptional collaboration with Mangrove Jakarta.ID.
