Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Minister of Trade, Budi Santoso, and the Chairperson of the Indonesian Licensing Association (ASENSI), Susanty Widjaya, officially launched the Indonesia Licensing and Franchise Export (ILFEX) 2025 at the Ministry of Trade office in Jakarta on Wednesday (12/3).
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Trade, ILFEX 2025 will be held concurrently with the 40th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) from October 15 to 19, 2025, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) City, Tangerang Regency, Banten.
Minister Budi Santoso emphasized that ILFEX 2025 aligns with the Ministry’s three priority programs: safeguarding the domestic market, expanding export markets, and enhancing the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) initiative under the “Berani Inovasi Siap Adaptasi Ekspor” (BISA Ekspor) program.
“Therefore, ILFEX 2025 will be held alongside TEI 2025,” he stated.
The Minister further highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to supporting national entrepreneurship development, mainly through strengthening local brands and fostering business partnerships based on franchising and licensing.
“Given the potential and growth of local franchises, we hope ILFEX 2025 will serve as an effective platform for promoting various business concepts, especially those from local brands. This will drive national entrepreneurship development and enhance Indonesia’s competitiveness on the global stage,” added Minister Budi.
Meanwhile, the Director General of National Export Development, Fajarini Puntodewi, noted that the BISA Ekspor program now encompasses products, licensing, and franchising services. This event, initiated by ASENSI, aims to support 100 licensed brands and local MSME products through licensing and franchising channels.
“We welcome this initiative as it aligns with the Ministry’s mission under the BISA Ekspor program. The focus is not only on products but also on introducing various service sectors, particularly licensing and franchising,” said Puntodewi.
On the other hand, ASENSI Chairperson Susanty Widjaya explained that ILFEX 2025 aims to increase the entrepreneurship ratio and support government programs through licensing and franchising pathways.
“ILFEX 2025 seeks to drive the growth and enhancement of the licensing and franchising ecosystem in Indonesia, foster pride in local brands, and strengthen the position of national licensing and franchising brands in both domestic and international markets. This will ultimately increase the entrepreneurship ratio and support the BISA Ekspor program through licensing and franchising,” concluded Susanty.
The collaboration between the Ministry of Trade and ASENSI through ILFEX 2025 is expected to create new opportunities for local businesses, boost Indonesia’s export potential, and strengthen the country’s position in the global market.
