Heaptalk, Jakarta — INATEX-INDOTEX 2025 officially opened on Tuesday (04/15) at Hall C1 of JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta. The exhibition runs from April 15 to 17.
In the virtual opening remarks, Rizky Aditya Wijaya, Director of the Textile, Leather, and Footwear Industry at the Ministry of Industry, emphasized the strategic importance of INATEX-INDOTEX 2025 in driving national economic growth and employment.
“I am confident that the presence of the agenda will further boost the textile industry, which had already grown by 2.67% as of September 2024,” Rizky stated.
He also expressed optimism that the exhibition would stimulate innovation across Indonesia’s textile sector, creating momentum for further expansion.
Jemmy Kartiwa Sastraatmaja, Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API), noted that INATEX-INDOTEX 2025 is a key driver in realizing smart manufacturing within the local textile industry while also positioning Indonesia among the top five global producers of textiles and apparel.
Paul Kingsen, President Director of Peraga Expo, highlighted that the event showcases various innovations and technologies focused on sustainability in the textile and garment sectors. He added that this reinforces the notion that Indonesia’s textile industry still holds strong growth potential, even amid global economic challenges.
“Sustainable fashion—especially environmentally friendly materials—will be among the most in-demand subcategories. The global sustainable fabric market is projected to grow rapidly, particularly in the apparel, furniture, and medical sectors. It’s expected to reach $72.7 billion by 2030, with a CAGR of 10.6% from 2024 to 2030,” Paul explained.
This year’s event features 600 companies from 12 countries, all showcasing innovations from their respective textile industries.
Paul concluded by expressing his confidence that INATEX-INDOTEX 2025 will serve as a strategic platform to strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesia’s textile sector.
