Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo) put serious effort into improving digital innovation, one of which by presenting award for digital initiations in the Indonesia Entrepreneur ICT (IdenTIK) 2023 competition.
This activity is the culmination of the IdenTIK competition to appreciate selected works in six categories, spanning the public sector, private sector, digital startup, digital innovation, digital inclusiveness, and digital content technology innovation. In this award, around 18 outstanding technological innovations that achieved the top three rankings in each category will obtain an access to join the ASEAN Digital Awards (ADA) 2024.
Refers to the Global Startup Report 2023 by Genome startup, Jakarta ranks third in the Top 10 Emerging Ecosystems in the world with an ecosystem value of US$71 billion. An Emerging Ecosystem is the startup community that aims to signify several countries’ technological potential to be a future market leader.
Perceiving the promising potential of Indonesia’s startup ecosystem, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, through the Directorate of Informatics Empowerment division, conducted the Indonesian ICT Entrepreneur Program as the strategy to develop Indonesia’s digital ecosystem and explore the potential of ICT products created by Indonesian. This measure aims to facilitate the future leader to compete at the global level.
Appreciating the implementation of IdenTIK competition, the Director of Informatics Empowerment at the Ministry of Technology Bonifasius Wahyu Pudjianto voiced, “IdenTIK is expected to increase the advancement of ICT products, with a mature capability to boost Indonesia’s digital economy and open up plenty of job opportunities to have an equal competitiveness in the ASEAN and global market.”

As one of the Chairman of the IdenTIK curators, Prof. Eko Budiardjo who also served as Lecturer and Researcher at Faculty of Computer Science in University of Indonesia delivered, “This agenda is accessible to those in big cities and other regions throughout Indonesia. Also, implementing this event is a joint effort to encourage information and communication technology (ICT) innovation for the nation’s rising generation to showcase their capability in prestigious competitions from regional to the global levels,”.
Based on the results, the top three winners of the IdenTIK 2023 competition for each category, including:
- Public Sector: OpenSID, Sehat IndoensiaKu (ASIK), and e-safety
- Private Sector: Cexup, Wypex ERP, and Genius Ticketing
- Digital Startup: Tracco, Prospekin, and Chasafriend
- Digital Innovation: Antasena, Boboko, and VoterGate
- Digital Inclusivity: WebApps Internet BAIK, WonderJack, and Voiye
- Digital content technology innovation: Hexcape, SheviaFire, and Kartu Tahu
