Heaptalk, Depok – Sports tourism which recently becomes very popular turns to be one of the innovative ways to promote healthy lifestyle and support the economy of the local society. As cited from The Ministry of Creative Economy and Tourism (Kemenparekraf) data, the potential of sports tourism is estimated to reach Rp18,79 billion.
Pemuda Olahraga Bersatu (POB), a non-profit youth community focused on sports and youth activities, continues to echoed sports tourism. Recently, the youth organization collaborated with the Directorate of Animal Police Corps (Ditpolsatwa) Sabhara Baharkam Polri to organize The Noble Ride, an event to promote Equestrian sports, particularly Dipolsatwa athletes, and also bloodhound.
In the agenda, Inspector General of Police is Drs. Mulia Hasudungan Ritonga, M.Si, delivered his appreciation to POB for this collaboration. Police Commissioner Gatot Aris Purbaya S.I.K and multiple well-known figures, such as Samuel Rizal, Masayu Clara, Qausar Harta Yudana, Adjie Pangestu, Donny Alamsyah, Mpok Atiek, and Giok Kinski Puteri also conveyed their support for this agenda.
Presenting positive activities, The Noble Ride offered various attractive show spanning the performance from Turangga Police Animal Unit and K9 bloodhound, and talk show about tourism, youth, and sports with the guest stars.
Swara Andhika Emil, Founder and the Chairman Comittee of POB voiced, “These activities can increase the popularity of this sports amongst society and spread inspiring news about the achievement of Indonesian Ditpolsatwa’s athletes Fergi Gutomo who win the first rank on Jumping World Cup South Asia with its horse named Orlando.
He added, “This initiative also aligns with The Ministry of Youth and Sports who aims to enhance popularity of equestrian sports.”
Daud Yordan, POB’s Chairman of Supervisory Board also expressed his great appreciation to this agenda. Daud who also the member of Regional Representative Council conveyed that this move is the government’s concrete action to involve young generation in advancing sports tourism.
Successful organized on Friday at Dipolsatwa Depok (20/12), POB and Dipolsatwa Sabhara Baharkam hope the event can inspire people to contribute to promote equestrian sports, making this sport activity to be popular.
