Heaptalk, Jakarta — City Camp 2024 is set to take place in Jakarta on October 8. This festival will combine diverse genres and popular international music groups to create an eclectic and energetic experience.
The music festival will feature performances from several K-Pop groups and musicians, including Ateez, BTOB, Boy Story, Lee Hi, and Colde. “Looking at the lineup, we’re certainly considering what’s trending in the market, as well as their track records,” said Siska, Director of Pratama Pradana PIC, during a press conference for City Camp 2024 in the Sudirman area of Central Jakarta on Thursday.
The promoters also considered the performers’ musical genres to make City Camp 2024 appealing to a broader audience. For example, R&B is found in the works of Lee Hi and Colde, and K-Pop is the identity of Ateez and BTOB. The Chinese idol group Boy Story also brings pop music, which is expected to add more diversity to the music at City Camp 2024.
Furthermore, the promoters selected Lee Hi as one of the additional performers due to fan requests. Also, Lee Hi’s performance is expected to represent women among the four male performers at the music festival. “We listened to the fans’ aspirations, many were asking, ‘Why aren’t there any female performers?’ Plus, in the K-Hip Hop R&B genre, it was only Colde. Therefore, we chose Lee Hi,” said Tiara Tirka, Project Manager of The RoomMate Entertainment.
Another exciting feature the promoters have prepared is the sale of exclusive merchandise from each performer. Fans can purchase merchandise from the festival performers directly during the event.
“Hopefully, City Camp will happen again next year. For now, we are focusing on the one-day festival, but if the audience response is positive, we’ll consider expanding to multiple days,” Tiara added. Tickets for this festival are still available. Several ticket categories remain, except for the Diamond, which has sold out. All ticket categories can be purchased online through Traveloka.
