Heaptalk, Jakarta — Governor of Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, invited all investors and stakeholders from various sectors to build Jakarta through Jakarta Investment Forum (JIF) 2022, which took place at Fairmont Hotel, Jakarta. (02/09)
“The advance of Jakarta today cannot be carried out alone by the Government. Therefore, we invite private investors, our partners, and global financial institutions to collaborate with us,” stated Anies during his speech at JIF 2022.
Anies added that through Jakarta’s vision, namely to bring Jakarta as a sustainable-oriented city -reflected by low emission transportation planning, the creation of the green industry, to urban planning that supports the society’s life – the city is expected to attract investors to disburse their capital.
“In particular, Jakarta is a place where massive transaction is performed. We have contributed to 70% of Indonesia’s economy, while the number of business activities running in the city is tremendous,” stated Anies.
During the conference, seven countries participated in confronting investors and Indonesia’s authority, including South Korea, Singapore, Cambodia, Ireland, Spain, Bangladesh, and Qatar.
Jakarta Investment Forum was carried out offline for the first time in 2022, as previously, the event was performed online due to the pandemic situation. The forum was further filled with various discussions about the sustainable food system, waste management through a circular economy, and public partnerships for green investment. The event also featured the signing of the collaboration commitment and other specific meetings.
Seven Regionally-Owned Enterprises, spanning MRT Jakarta, TransJakarta, Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), PT Kawasan Berikat Nusantara, PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP), Jakarta Experience Board (JXB), and Perumda Sarana Jaya, have offered 15 projects to be invested.
The projects are Intermediate Treatment Facility (ITF) Sunter, LRT Jakarta Phase 2A (Jakarta International Stadium-Rajawali), and LRT Jakarta Phase 3A (Jakarta International Stadium-Rajawali).
In addition, MRT Phase 3 (East-West), MRT Phase 4 (Fatmawati-TMII), South Jakarta Mix-Used Development, Transjakarta Electric Bus, Battery Charging Station, Thousand Island Eco Resort, and Eco Theme Park, and medical tourism for the elderly were also offered on the conference.
The other projects showcased JIF were Jakarta’s Landmark, Sentra Primer Tanah Abang (Tanah Abang trading area), Asap solar power plant (PLTS), hazardous and toxic waste (B3) installation, and Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP) re-masterplan.
