Socio-economic registration (Regsosek) has been carried out for 20 days on May 1-21, 2023, aiming to provide accurate information regarding economic and social growth.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — Statistics Indonesia (BPS) for East Kutai attended an audience with East Kutai Regent Ardiansyah Sulaiman to discuss the implementation of a public consultation forum (FKP) for socio-economic registration (Regsosek) and the agricultural census 2023.
Taking place in the Regent’s Office, the Head of East Kutai BPS Akhmad Junaedi and his staff conveyed the planned activities. Responding to this, Regent Ardiansyah welcomed the socio-economic registration activity that had been carried out recently by the East Kutai BPS, which aims to find out the current condition of the economic and social development of the community.
Ardiansyah said, “However before the data is submitted to the central government for release, they (BPS) will go down to the sub-district to gather all village heads for presentations and at the same time check again, whether the data submitted is correct or not.”
Previously, socio-economic registration is carried out for 20 days on May 1-21, 2023. This activity is expected to provide accurate information regarding economic and social growth in the community. Thus, this information will become one of the bases for policy-making in regional development programs.
“Including the agricultural census which will be carried out in June-July to find out the latest developments in agriculture in general over the past 10 years,” added Ardiansyah.
According to the Head of East Kutai BPS Akhmad Junaedi, there are two big agendas that will be carried out by his party in 2023, spanning the agricultural census and public consultation forums at the village level. Meanwhile, the socio-economic registration itself has resulted in data related to families and their levels of welfare that have been carried out some time ago.
“This activity (FKP) will be carried out in each village based on the processing of the socio-economic registration data that we have carried out. From there, we and the village head, including the neighborhood association, will make an agreement regarding data on low-income families. Thus, there will be no more mistakes in determining whether this family deserves to be included in the vulnerable to poverty or poverty groups, “concluded Akhmad.
