Heaptalk, Jakarta — Great Wall Motor (GWM) Indonesia has been awarded for its contribution as the best-performing sales market globally for the GWM Tank 500 model at the annual GWM Global Dealer Conference held in China in late April, coinciding with Auto Shanghai 2025.

“This award serves as tangible proof of Indonesian consumers’ positive reception of the GWM Tank luxury vehicle lineup. In the past year, this series has contributed nearly 50% of GWM’s total sales in the Indonesian market – reflecting the tremendous enthusiasm for the hybrid luxury and premium SUVs offered by GWM,” said Martina Danuningrat, Strategy & Marketing Director of GWM Indonesia during a press conference in Jakarta on Monday (05/05).

The award as the best-performing sales market globally for the Tank 500 strengthens GWM Indonesia’s position as a key player in the company’s global growth strategy. It reaffirms its commitment to delivering premium automotive innovations aligned with Indonesian consumers’ needs.

The GWM Tank 500, the brand’s flagship SUV, has attracted attention since its first introduction in Indonesia. Its bold design, luxurious cabin comfort, powerful performance, and advanced features have made it a top choice in the premium hybrid SUV segment.

Powered by a 2.0L Turbo Hybrid engine with 342 hp output and 648 Nm torque, the GWM Tank 500 delivers robust yet efficient performance. An advanced 4WD system, differential lock feature, crawl control, and various adaptive driving modes for all terrains support its off-road capability. The SUV also offers comfort and premium features, including a panoramic sunroof, premium audio system, 12.3-inch digital cluster, and various active safety features, making it an ideal choice for daily use and adventures.
