Heaptalk, Jakarta — PLN contributed to enlivening the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025, held from February 13-23, 2025, at JIEXPO Kemayoran, Jakarta. In the final week of the exhibition, PLN recorded a sales record of 7,546 tickets through PLN Mobile.

PLN’s President Director, Darmawan Prasodjo, stated that this figure is higher than the previous year’s IIMS event. The high enthusiasm for IIMS 2025 has become a momentum for PLN to drive the growth of the electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem to become more massive. “This is a historic moment, and PLN is part of that history. Public enthusiasm for the automotive industry continues to increase, including EVs. This is evidenced by the high public interest in various programs offered by PLN during the event,” said Darmawan.

Darmawan also mentioned that the request for power increases through the Power Up EVent promo recorded a significant number, reaching 7,266 customers. With this achievement, PLN is increasingly optimistic that EVs will become part of the daily lives of Indonesian people. “EVs are increasingly popular in Indonesia, so PLN continues to support the EV ecosystem’s development. The efforts to use environmentally friendly energy in the transportation sector also support the goal of energy self-sufficiency in the country,” said Darmawan.

Public electric vehicle charging stations (SPKLU) at IIMS 2025 also attracted much public attention, with 12 new partners registering as providers. “As the locomotive of energy transition in the country, PLN will continue to synergize with stakeholders to strengthen the electric vehicle ecosystem in the country,” concluded Darmawan.

PLN also won the Best Digital Campaign award at the IIMS 2025 event for its digital innovations in enhancing the customer experience of using EVs. After the end of the IIMS 2025 event, loyal PLN customers can still access everything about electric vehicles through the PLN Mobile app in the EV menu, ranging from charging station usage information, public electric vehicle charging station locations, trip planner services, EV charging transactions, home charging services, EV purchases, to test drive features.
