Heaptalk, Jakarta – Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) recorded a strong growth in 2024 with the revenue escalation of 9.1% year-on-year to Rp 55.9 trillion, contributed by the AI adoption and B2B performance.
“We were able to save significant amount because of using Ai and that is helping us on managing capacity at the right time at right cost. Similarly on AI native Telco GPU as a service is giving very good tracks,” stated President Director and Chief Executive Officer of IOH Vikram Sinha.
Revenue from mobile services grew 7,5%, while revenue from Multimedia, Data Communication, and Internet (MIDI) segments jumped 23.4%.
The company’s EBITDA grew faster than revenue, with an increase of 10.2% year-on-year to Rp 26.4 trillion. Net profit attributed to the owners of the normalized growing parent entity grew up to 38,1% to Rp 4,916 trillion.
“Our first building block is our main business supported by the top world-class network experience. And we are very committed to keep investing, especially in rural areas in Indonesia so that no one is left behind,” said Vikram in the IOH financial performance media update which was held online, Monday (2/10/2025).
Throughout 2024, IOH recorded traffic data of 16,170 PB, up 12,2% from the previous year. The number of customers decreased slightly by 4.1% to 94.7 million, but the average revenue per user (ARPU) increased by 6.6% to Rp 38,000.
To meet the rapid traffic growth, IOH built more than 17,000 4G BTS and more than 3,500 2G BTS throughout 2024. Currently there are a total of more than 196,000 4G BTS and more than 53,000 2G IOH BTS spread throughout Indonesia.
IOH’s capital expenditure (CAPEX) in 2024 amounted to Rp 9,938 trillion, down 22.3% year-on-year. Most of the capital expenditure (82,7%) is allocated to improve the mobile network, while the rest is to improve MIDI and IT.
